I've made it to 8 months

Sometimes thinking about this pregnancy-this development of this baby-this progression- it seems like it has happened way to quickly for everything that is taking place in the womb. It is amazing seeing her last week in the 3D Ultrasound pictures how she is already a little woman!! I look forward to seeing what color eyes she has, to hold her little hand and watch it wrap around mine, and to see Mark hold her for the first time. It will be so many firsts for both of us regardless of my past babysitting adventures!

At times, I get overwhelmed with how quickly life is about to change, but then I thank the Lord because He has given me 9 months to adjust and get ready. I equate it to planning for a wedding. You do so much preparation beforehand and then you have to do this nail biting exercise called waiting. Her nursery, thanks to my amazingly creative sister-in-law, is for the most part complete-minus a lamp and basket!

Our good friends just had their baby friday morning and getting the call from her thursday night that she was going to the hospital gave me this adrenaline rush for her- I can't imagine what it will be like when that time comes. The moment that your body is telling you- ok no going back now-we're doing this- this baby is about to be brought into this world-so brace yourself!

I look forward to my last month-month and a half of relaxing and learning more about this little one. She moves all the time. Sometimes I wish I had a portable ultrasound monitor so I could confirm that she is break dancing in there!

She is coming quickly...
